Baking for Bangor Castle Christmas Craft Fair!
MUD is a ceramics group set up in 2012 by graduates of the University of Ulster. Consisting of four ceramicists from across Northern Ireland, MUD’s aim is to exhibit their latest work with each maker demonstrating a vast range of processes and techniques. MUD involves Victoria Bentham, Gareth Clarke, Jemma Millen and Chi How Tsang. Follow our journey on our blog.

Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you!
OH my jolly goodness, I just completely forgot how much I love christmas! And after a very exciting textathon with Tori earlier I couldn't stop myself making some ANTLERY! That's right, cutlery antlers. From my little 1 hour playtime in clay I think I have come to realise I'm going completely insane with how many things I want to make for Christmas markets and how little I'm bothered by making art.
Antler & Turkey wishbone earrings! And for some reason, more spoons

Material Worlds
Ooohh! Just done an interview with the Belfast Telegraph, how exciting! it was nerve racking, although I did manage to mention our MUD clay group twice! *brownie points for me* The woman - J Hardy, was lovely, she asked many questions that I feel like I didn't even answer as fully as I could have - but unfortunately I can't fill up the whole newspaper with stuff about me. Speaking of which...
Material Worlds is everywhere! OK the articles might be identical, but any publicity is good publicity! Featured in the Newsletter, South Belfast Community Telegraph & North Belfast Newtownabbey Telegraph - and possibly more?! I'm thinking of getting a tshirt made saying 'It's a bit daunting'.
The Belfast Telly interview will be a piece in the people section next Monday, I have to supply two pictures - an old one of Dad and one of Mum, Dad and I together - which I don't think exists on this planet!
And yes, it's worse that this. I'm the one with the bowl cut fringe by the way, Thanks mum. Also thanks Rab (my brother) for making the haircut permanent history with these ridiculous photographs.
Actual making ceramic work I'm drawing silly and impossible things!

Ards Arts Proposal :D
If i'm torturing you guys and you don't want to do these just let me know, otherwise here is what they need for Ards Arts centre proposal :D
- A really tiny bit about yourself, not any more than about 60 words, as interesting as you can make it so we are not all just saying the same as each other.
- 3 Examples of our work, again it doesn't have to be all ceramics.
- Why we want to use this space in particular. (Its a very big and bright, open space, lots of room for people to walk around. Accepts 3D work, allows plinths, can hold big pieces) Try to be creative about it so as we don't all say the same things. Include if you can something about living in Ards (Eddie) or your work being influenced by the Ards Peninsula (Jemma), this helps us to be accepted.
- A tiny bit about your work, can be the same as the piece for the curve gallery if you like.
We have around a year before we can get into this gallery so I think we should really think about what we want to make so as if the same people come to both shows there is something a bit different for them to see and not just all the same work. Also it is quite a big space so I think we would all need to have quite a lot of work and a bit of variety of work and medium. But I don't think we need to say in this proposal exactly what we want to make so we can talk to each other and work out what each of us wants to do a bit closer to the time.
Please send this to me by Thursday the 30th of August so as I can send it on to her by the Friday :)
I couldn't find a bigger picture of it. It is a beautiful space.

Curve Gallery Proposal
So I know i've left it ages since telling you but here is what we need for the Curve Gallery proposal. :D
- 2 good Images of our most current work.
- A good drawing of what we are proposing to do for this exhibition, just one side of an A4 page.
- A brief but realistic description of how it can be hung on their system. (otherwise they might reject us)
- A short paragraph, roughly 100 words of what the new work is about.
I will wright a cover letter and email it to her on friday morning so please send it to me as soon as you can. :D i'm really sorry not giving all this to you sooner!
I will get this one finished and out of the way and then post the details for the exhibition proposal at the Ards Arts Centre.
